I often talk about the benefits of taking a greens drink first thing in the morning: reduce cravings, improve digestion (less bloating!), deliver a boost of energy and alkalise the system.
A common question people ask if it’s necessary to take a supplement to do all that – they want to know if they can ‘make their own’ superfood smoothie.
And the answer is that YES, you CAN make your own!
Most of the key ingredients in Lean Greens (my personal choice) and other greens drinks are easily available in health food stores.
Like spirulina, wheat grass, barley grass, chloerella, digestive enzymes, & Siberian Ginseng.
And of course we can all lay our hands on broccoli, spinach, berries & carrots!
So you could just buy these individual ingredients in bulk and add them as you like to a smoothie or fresh veg juice.
But the extra freshness you’ll gain from making it this way is meaningless if it takes too long to make on a busy morning.
I came downstairs this morning and 2 minutes later I had made, drunk, and washed up after my daily shot of Lean Greens.
For an action to become a habit it needs to be manageable.
You need to be able to see yourself doing it on a regular enough basis that it’ll make a difference.
Being healthy isn’t always about ditching things from your diet.
It’s also about adding in the right things, which is why I’m such a big believer in anything that can make this easier and habitual.
There are loads of different greens drinks on the market, but if you’re looking for a starting point get online and order yourself a tub of Lean Greens.
